Altstadt Hotel Potsdam, Potsdam

The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Potsdam, making it ideal for exploring the city. The rooms, although small and under the roof, had an odd odor and lacked Wi-Fi, which was a downside. The service was exceptional, with staff assisting with last-minute needs and carrying heavy luggage. The dining experience was satisfactory, although the sight of pickled herrings near the muesli was off-putting. Overall, a charming location with friendly service.

Upon arrival, the hotel presented a mixed bag with rooms that weren't entirely clean at first, located on the 5th floor with poorly functioning blinds creating a dim atmosphere. However, the service made up for it with a friendly and welcoming attitude, assisting in a sudden early departure. The central location was ideal for exploring Potsdam, despite minor furniture issues. The dining experience had its ups and downs but leaned more towards the positive side.

My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms, although not the cleanest, were situated on the third floor under the roof, offering a clean and airy atmosphere. The service, while very friendly and welcoming, lacked a bit of information regarding parking, but the staff did provide a map to the nearest parking options. The location was very convenient to explore Potsdam, right in the center with kind and attentive staff, perfect for a cycle tour around Sans Souci Park and Schloss. The dining experience, while somewhat odd with pickled herrings next to the muesli, was overall delicious and perfect for an early start to the day. The facilities were sufficient, meeting most of my needs during the stay.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The location was fantastic, right in the center with easy access to great restaurants and the shopping street. The rooms were comfortable and had an excellent breakfast selection. However, I was on the 3rd floor without an elevator, which was a bit tiring, and the cleanliness of the room, especially the horrible smell, was a letdown. Additionally, the wifi didn't work in the room on the first day.

Additionally, the location of my room was far from the main building, requiring navigating multiple floors without a lift. However, the bed was cozy and ensured a restful night's sleep, despite some noise reaching my room until early morning.
